Gandhi Residence
The brief of the project was a retreat home with few programmatically requirements of 2 bedrooms along with a study room for two growing kids. The client wanted an elegant, sophisticated and simple best interior design project. The spatial flow takes into consideration the family’s requirement of segregating public and private space.
As one enters in the house, the journey begins a cosy foyer finished with rich veneer and contrast wallpaper. The dim lamps just complements the mood. The foyer opens up into a seamless space for linear living. The living room interior design is richly layered and textured with a judicious mix of materials, which extends into the choice of furniture, furnishings and artwork interior. The veneer and its pattern design is even replicated into the false ceiling. The brick cladding from ‘Flexstone’ has proved a cherry on top. The brick cladding was chosen to visual strengthen the linear effect on the space. The centre tables deisgns are customised and crafted onsite. The set of two tables design offers flexibility of being used separately in a linear space. Another corner of living room interior designing gives a spark with the blue oversized single-seater sofa. The east corner of house resides the painting of God Shrinathji.
The panel of T.V. gives privacy as well as spatial separation to the dining and kitchen. The partition’s height is up to lintel level to allow the seepage of natural light and ventilation. Two extra slits with the traditional glass lamps in the partition boosts the purpose. The shorter two sides of the room also have a presence of partition in a different proportion but the medium and the pattern are the same. The dining table top from Italian marble with inlay of black Italian, the sleek leg of the table and the stunning bench completes the interioir look of dining area. The painting by artist Rajul Shah brings the exact amount of contrast to the space.
The entire interior design is customized furniture and tailored upholstery celebrates beauty and craftsmanship of the house. Experimentation with the right stroke of simplistic best interior design and choosing of accessories and correct artwork creates a beautiful and rhythmic substance inhabitable with comfort and luxury.
